Formerly known as West Port Books, Edinburgh Books is the biggest secondhand bookshop in Edinburgh. They have a vast range of books on many subjects. Our books are Antiquarian and Nearly New, 50p and £500, Silly and Serious.

Buys and sells fiction and non fiction books.



Has a good selection of fiction, non fiction and a whole floor devoted to fine art and design books. DVDs are available to borrow for a week at a cost of £1.20 or £2.40 for special/multi-disc editions. The Music Library can be found in the building next door, beside the children’s library and has CDS, music DVDs, magazines and books available to borrow.
They also have a Dalek.

Edinburgh College Of Art Library

The library collection consists of some 85,000 books and more than 350 periodical subscriptions along with videos and DVDs, maps, and slides. Borrowing books and access to the library at evenings and weekends is restricted to Edinburgh University students.

Edinburgh University’s Architecture and History of Art department building, Minto House, on Chamber Street also contains a small Art Library.
